A doctors prescription would be totally useless if the bottle of pills was kept beside the bed and never swallowed.  You've got to get the medicine IN YOU, to enjoy the benefit.
Also, it wouldn't effect a complete cure unless you finished the prescription.  The Word of God is God's Medicine and must be taken according to the directions.

To resist sickness affirm each verse enthusiastically 3 times or more before going onto the next.  Do this 3 times a day.  To maintain health affirm once a day.
Rom 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
Heb 11:1,6 "NOW faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
6  But without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe (i) that He is, and (ii) that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
Rom 4:20-21 "No distrust made him (Abraham) waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith AS he gave glory to God (or praise to God concerning His promise, i.e. he focussed on the Word),
21  And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able (and willing) also to perform."
James 3:2 "All of us often make mistakes.  But if a person never makes a mistake in what he says, he is perfect and is also able to control his whole being (whether it'll be well or sick)."
1 John 5:4 "...because EVERY child of God is able to defeat the world (including the devil and his works).  And we win the victory over the world by means of our faith."
The sad thing is many Christians stay sick, and even die prematurely, because it's too much of an effort to meditate in the Word day and night as the Bible teaches.  If you really believed a medicine would cure you, and wanted to live badly enough, you'd do whatever it takes to get it in you.  God has made the way - now it's up to you to get the revelation of His Word in your inner man.
Remember this... "Healing comes from the inside out (by revelation knowledge in your heart), not from the outside in.
2 Cor 5:7 "...for we walk by faith, not by sight..."
2 Cor 4:18 "...while we look not at the things which are seen (i.e. your flesh), BUT at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Prov 4:20-22 "My son, ATTEND to My words; incline thine ear (listen well) unto My sayings (not the devils).  Let them not depart from thine eyes (see yourself well); keep them in the midst of thine heart (i.e. fully believe them).  For they are life unto those that FIND them, and medicine to a man's WHOLE body."
Prov 17:22 "A joyful heart is good medicine, but a BROKEN SPIRIT (with no fight) dries up the bones."
(Don't be so uptight - learn to relax, play and smile.  Several hearty laughs a day keeps the doctor away.  One doctor said, "To work up a sweat & laugh heartily must become a part of our daily routine").
Psa 107:20a "He sent His Word and healed them..."
(The higher truth of 'God's Word' must paint a picture of wellness in your spirit, exceedingly more than the 'word of your symptoms'  Whose report will you believe?)
Jer 1:12b "...I am watching over My word to perform it."
(Those who see themselves well by diligent meditation in the Word will know God's power performing a work of healing in their bodies).
Isa 40:31a "...they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength..."
(Meditating in the Word is also waiting upon the Lord.  Take time to meditate).
Prov 12:18b "...the tongue of the wise brings healing" - because he only confesses what the Word says.
(Never talk sickness, defeat or failure - NEVER!  Jesus said you'll have what you say, but my people are saying what they have).
Mat 6:12 "Forgive us our offenses, as we forgive our offenders."
I choose to walk in love and forgiveness that God's healing power may work in me unhindered.
(Pray for and bless those who caused you hurt).
Exo 15:26c "...I am the LORD who heals you; JEHOVAH thy physician - your life-giver - I make you immune to diseases."
(Jehovah-Rapha is one of His 7 covenant redemptive names - see the '26 Translation Bible')
Jer 30:17a "I restore you to health and I WILL heal you of your wounds..."
His healing power worketh mightily in me according to this spoken Word, manifesting divine healing, keeping me in divine health.
Matt 8:17b "He Himself took our infirmities, and carried away our diseases."
He bore them therefore I am free.  Thank You Lord Jesus!
1 Pet 2:24b "...by whose stripes ye WERE healed."  My healing's paid for.  If I was, I am; if I am, I is - I is healed.  (Bad English - good doctrine.  See yourself as healed resisting sickness - not as sick, trying to get healing).
Heb 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever."
The New Testament Healer is my healer today.
Mark 16:17-18 "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons...they will lay hands on the sick, and they WILL recover."
By the laying on of hands, God's healing power is mightily at work within me - effecting a perfect cure.
(No faith friend to pray for you? - lay hands on yourself).
Acts 10:38 "...God anointed Jesus...with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing ALL who were oppressed by the devil..."
(Sickness is satanic oppression).
James 4:7b "RESIST the devil and he WILL flee from YOU."
(Resisting sickness with the Word is resisting the devil - see also Matt 4:8-11 and Eph 6:17b).
Luke 10:17b "...Lord, even the demons are subject to US in Your NAME."
I take authority over every symptom, sickness and disease of the devil, and command it to cease, in Jesus name.
1 John 4:4 "You are from God...and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."
God's Spirit of LIFE in me is far GREATER than that of the enemy - destroying the works of the devil.
Rom 8:2 "...the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death."  God's life in me destroys satan's death.
Mark 11:23d  Jesus said, "...he shall have whatsoever he SAITH."
Body - conform to the Word of God - function perfectly as God created you to function, in Jesus name.
(Speak only the solution, never the problem).
Your DAILY CONFESSION:-
Jesus said you'll have what you say, but my people are saying what they have.
Don't say, "I'm not sick, I have no pain."
Rather say, "By His stripes I am healed, my body functions in the perfection to which God created it to function in Jesus name!"
Speak what you desire your body to be, not what it is.
This is not mind over matter, but Bible faith in its correct operation.
Joel 3:10c "...let the weak SAY, 'I am strong'" - 'I am healed, I am healthy.'
Eph 6:10 "...be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of HIS MIGHT."  Even now, His life and strength surges through my being.
Acts 17:28a,29a "...in Him I LIVE, and move, and have my being... Therefore, since I am the offspring of God..." I am filled with the life of God - I move in the energy of God.
(Because I have my being in Him and He cannot die)...
Psa 118:17 "I shall not die, but LIVE, and declare the works of the LORD."
(How then will you eventually die?  Like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did in Gen 25:8; 35:29; 49:33; Heb 11:13 "All these died IN FAITH...").
Heb 6:12c "...through faith and patience WE INHERIT the promises" of a l-o-n-g healthy life.  (Job 5:26; Psa 91:16).
Heb 4:14c "...let us hold fast our confession" of 'Divine Health'.
Father, I thank You for the grace to 'eat to live' and not to 'live to eat' - also, to eat and drink healthily, to exercise regularly, sleep sufficiently and take a Sabbath rest.  (Grace is unmerited favor for God's power to deliver and strengthen us in our weakness).
