2 Cor 6:14-15 (NAS) Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
Prov 22:29 (NIV) Do you see a man skilled in his work?  He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.
Prov 28:6 (TEV) Better to be poor and honest than rich and dishonest.
James 4:13-17 (NIV) Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."
14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.  What is your life?  You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
15 Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
16 As it is, you boast and brag.  All such boasting is evil.
17 Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.
1 Tim 6:9-10 (NIV) People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.  Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Prov 23:4-5 (TEV) Be wise enough not to wear yourself out trying to get rich.
5 Your money can be gone in a flash, as if it had grown wings and flown away like an eagle.
Exod 23:8 (NAS) "And you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of the just.
Prov 13:11 (NAS) Wealth {obtained} by fraud dwindles, but the one who gathers by labor increases {it.}
Prov 20:14 (TEV) The customer always complains that the price is too high, but then he goes off and brags about the bargain he got.
Prov 20:23 (NIV) The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him.
James 5:4 (NIV) Look!  The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you.  The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.
Luke 20:22-25 (NIV) Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?"
23 He saw through their duplicity and said to them,
24 "Show me a denarius.  Whose portrait and inscription are on it?"
25 "Caesar's," they replied.  He said to them, "Then give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
1 Cor 6:7 (NIV) The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already.  Why not rather be wronged?  Why not rather be cheated?
Prov 22:26-27 (NIV) Do not be a man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts;
27 if you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you.
Deut 8:18 (NIV) But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
1 Tim 6:17-19 (NIV) Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
Prov 30:8-9 (NIV) Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?'  Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
Prov 28:20 (NAS) A faithful man will abound with blessings, but he who makes haste to be rich will not go unpunished.
Eccl 11:2 (NAS) Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth.
