Prov 22:6 (NKJ) Train up a child in the way he SHOULD GO, and when he is old he will not depart from it.The CHECK & CROSS (üû) system:
Train: forming the habits, thoughts, and behavior of a child by discipline, instruction and example. Show your children the right way. Work at focussing on the positive first, instead of the negative, (i.e., what they must do, rather than what they must not do).
Prov 13:24 (TLB) If you refuse to discipline your son, it proves you don't love him; for if you love him, you will be PROMPT TO PUNISH him.
Prov 20:30 (NLT) Physical punishment cleanses away evil; such discipline purifies the heart.
Prov 22:15 (NKJ) Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the ROD of correction will drive it far from him.
Prov 23:13 (TLB) DON'T FAIL to correct your children; discipline won't hurt them! They won't die if you use a STICK on them! Punishment will keep them out of HELL.
Prov 29:15 (NIV) The ROD of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother.
Col 3:20-21 (TLB) You children must ALWAYS obey your fathers and mothers, for that pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers, don't scold your children so much (talk less & spank more) that they become discouraged and quit trying.
Parents give their children from 1 to 5 crosses per incident, depending on the seriousness of the offense (i.e., up to 5 crosses for sassing mom). Instantly on receiving the 5th cross, the child is disciplined with a hard spanking on the behind, using a solid beach ball paddle (which covers the whole bum and leaves no whipping marks). You can't spank a child for every little thing, but 5 minor offenses have earned a solid spanking. A spanking that does not hurt communicates your lack of commitment and/or unbelief in Biblical discipline. Spankings are Heaven sent to register on the brain, when simple one-time instructions have gone in one ear and out the other.SEND ME AN EMAIL, REQUESTING A PROFESSIONAL COPY OF "TRAINING CHILDREN GOD'S WAY"
Crosses can be cancelled out with checks for excellent behavior. Checks are earned by a full day of kind, thoughtful, obedient and tidy behavior. This behavior is the acceptable norm for all reasonable people. Also award checks when you see your children "enter in" and sincerely worship God from their heart, pray and read their Bibles.
Children get crosses for ANY of the following unacceptable behavior:
w Breaking family rules, disobedience, unruliness, sassiness, back talking, procrastinating, pushing and testing their parents
w Sulking, manipulating, ungratefulness, showing a bad attitude, outbursts of anger
w Untidiness, tardiness, uncleanness, dirtiness, leaving your things for others to pick up or any mess for others to clean
w Watching evil TV, reading worldly publications, swearing, selfishness, lying, stealing, jealousy, bickering
w Loudness, being overbearing, showing a lack of consideration for others, waking up others who are sleeping.
The anti-Strife Rule:
When children act ugly by slinging nasty comments at each other, they are sent to the praise room, where to an anointed Christian CD they must stand worshipping Jesus with their eyes closed for 10-30 minutes, till love, peace and kindness reign in their hearts again.
Win/Win, not Win/Loose or Loose/Win. With good behavior children win by having happy parents that do not spank them, and parents win by not being frustrated and stressed out with unruly children.
Call a family meeting and go through this sheet of rules with your children.
Then paste it where it can easily be read by all.
Under it, paste a separate sheet with each child's name on top and 100 small squares below.
Using these squares, fill in the checks and crosses, according to their behavior.
Your firm unwavering commitment to carry out Bible discipline will be the best favor you can do for yourself and your children.
