The first proof that shows the Bible is the inspired Word of God is the fascinating subject of Bible Numerics.  Simply stated the Bible was originally written in Hebrew for the Old Testament, and Greek for the New Testament.  The letters in these alphabets have numerical values.  This is easy to understand if you think of Roman numerals, where a V=5, and a X=10, etc.  In adding up the numerical value of the letters for different portions of scripture, the most amazing numerical patterns develop.
It is important to understand that these numerical patterns do not work with any other writings - ancient or modern - religious or secular.  In fact skeptics against the authenticity of the Bible, have even tried to write short sentences, to try to duplicate these numerical patterns, without success.  Almighty God, in His unfathomable wisdom, has set His seal of Divine inspiration on The Holy Bible, where these numerical patterns work without fail.  This sets the Bible, and its message of salvation only through faith in Jesus Christ, above all other religious writings.  It shows that there is a Divine intelligence, and inspiration behind it.

What are these infallible numerical patterns? It is a subject that an atheist like Ivan Panin devoted a lifetime to study - resulting in his conversion to Christianity.  His work has been investigated by the Nobel Research Foundation of Los Angeles, USA.  Regarding Panin's conclusion that "the Bible could not possibly have been written, except by Divine inspiration of God Himself", their verdict is - "so far as our investigation has proceeded, we find the evidence overwhelming in favor of such a conclusion."

There are many varying numerical patterns, built around different numbers, but "seven" is a number that specifically revolves around Jesus Christ and His teachings.
However, in the limited space available, we will give just one example from Matthew's gospel regarding the miraculous virgin birth of Christ.
Mat 1:18-25 (NAS) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows.  When His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
19  And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her, desired to put her away secretly.
20  But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21  And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins."
22  Now all this took place that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet (Isaiah 7:14; 8:10; 9:6-7) might be fulfilled, saying,
23  "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means, "God with us."
24  And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took {her} as his wife,
25  and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.

In the above passage we find...
w  The number of Greek words is exactly 161...23 x 7
w  The numeric value of these is exactly 93,394...13,342 x 7
w  The number of vocabulary words is exactly 77...11 x 7
w  The numeric value of these is exactly 51,247...7,321 x 7

The passage contains six Greek words which are found nowhere else in Matthew...
w  Their numeric value is exactly 5,005...715 x 7
w  These six words have exactly 56 letters...8 x 7

Now the first two verses, a natural division...
w  have exactly 42 words...6 x 7
w  leaving 119...17 x 7

The last verse, another natural division...
w  has exactly 14 words...2 x 7
w  leaving 147...3 x 7 x 7
w  The 161 words occur in 105 forms...15 x 7
w  The numeric value of these forms is exactly 65,429...9,347 x 7
w  In these 105 forms there are exactly 35 verbs...5 x 7
w  There are exactly 7 Proper names...1 x 7
w  The number of letters in these 7 names is exactly 42...6 x 7

There is one word "Emmanuel," used nowhere else in the New Testament...
w  its numeric value is 644...92 x 7
w  the sum of its figures is 14...2 x 7

This by no means exhausts the passage, but enough evidence has been given to prove the point.
Now, according to the law of chance, there is a one in 200 quintillion chance of all these patterns developing.  This is a number consisting of 21 figures.
Please also understand that Bible numerics works with all passages in the Bible, which have the same impossible odds, as the above portion of Scripture we've just examined.

For our dear evolutionist friends, it is interesting to note that Bible numerics works perfectly with Gen 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The Almighty Creator has once and for all removed all argument over the issue of Creation versus Evolution - by sealing Gen 1:1 with intricate numerical patterns, which no mathematician can deny or duplicate.  The Author of Gen 1:1 is saying, "I created the universe - just like I said in My Word."

Interestingly enough, Bible numerics does not work with the books of the Apocrypha.

For those who've promulgated that Mark 16:9-20 is not inspired, and therefore should not have been included in the Scriptures - reconsider your position, because Bible numerics proves otherwise.

This is undeniable scientific proof that the Bible is the Divinely inspired Word of Almighty God, to which every human will be accountable at the end of his earthly life.  Are you ready?
